The story “In the Moon Room” is part of the book “Five Fairy Tales” (Pet prikazki) released in 1986. This is one of the most famous children books in Bulgaria, which includes “Puk!, “White fairytale”, “To put it midly” and “A button for sleep”.

The dawn has fallen over the city. It’s 9 o’clock already. And there, by the window, a little child is standing steady. Rositsa it’s called, she’s only in third grade, although she looks much mature in mind. She’s closed in a cage of gray concrete panels, but looking at the bus stop with hope…
“Isn’t that her mother there?… Down, near the neighborhood bakery?” Because today she was there on her shift…
